Dinnertime surprise!
Sarah and Loren were eating dinner on the deck the other night when they got a little surprise at their house. Check it out!
Apparently a couple was out for a ride (with a host) and the wind just stopped. So they had no choice but to land. Loren even got a bit of the champagne the couple had (which comes with a ride). Too bad the boys were in bed!

Coming up for air
Hi, everyone! I have been a serious slacker on this blog this summer -- I haven't updated a birthday in a while (I'm sure I've missed some). I'm throwing up the white flag a little -- I surrender! I'm busy!
But, my schedules calming down a little, so I hope to pick it up. I'll e-mail directions to everyone on how to post, that way you can search your inbox if you ever feel so inclined, or you can print them out and put them next to your computer!
Staying in on this hot, sticky, soon-to-be-stormy day and might head off to see Despicable Me in 3-D a little later!
On another note, I am the Box Tops for Education coordinator for Claire's school. If you're not familiar with Box Tops, they are the little pink coupon type things on all kinds of things at the store -- from Cheerios and granola bars to Kleenex and baby wipes. Each one is worth 10 cents for the school -- they get an actual 10 cents for each one submitted, so it's a win-win.
There also are coupons on the Box Tops Web site and I think if you use them at Meijer consistently, Meijer will spit out a thing that says "100 Bonus Box Tops" in place of one of your coupons from time to time.
Also, here's a link to some "worksheets" you can use to collect the Box Tops (especially fun if you have kids around...).

Adventures with Lucas and Anthony
Hi, all. We have had some adventures lately, so here are a few pictures. Sarah and I took Lucas and Anthony to the Fourth of July parade last Saturday, Ruth (Loren's mom) and I took them to the zoo on Tuesday (slightly warm!) and today, we ended up at the mall, so the boys could run around in the AC (and only got slightly injured...). Here are a few shots.
The parade:
What you can't tell here, is that we're actually baking in the sun.
We found out that Anthony has an incredible ability/instinct to gather candy that is thrown in his general direction. When he finally came up for air, he had at least a dozen pieces of candy. Sarah and I were laughing so hard, I believe she almost peed her pants. Almost.
Our first stop was the Butterfly House. Anthony was more intrigued by the tiniest waterfall of all time.
When a butterfly landed on Grandma's arm, it kind of blew Lucas' mind.
Little did I know, hours later when he was supposed to be napping, Anthony would be sitting in bed shouting, "All Aboard!"
Did I mention it was about 90 degrees? These guys were troopers for about 2 hours until their fatigue set in.

And then there were three...
We're counting down the last weeks of bed rest in the Baidas house and restless mama is taking a few moment here and there to experience the summer sun.
Here's a shot I took of the boys and Sarah walking to the Milford Farmer's Market last week. My mom said that I should post it to the blog* and we all know she's the boss!
